Over 500 delegates attended the 65th International Bartenders Association Congress and World Cocktail Championships 2016 with more than 65 countries represented in the competition.
The Japanese contestant, Kenji Tsubokura, honoured his country and the audience by winning the prestigious Bartender of the Year award with his short drink called "The Best Scene", using Le Fruit de MONIN Yuzu.
All the monin team would like to congratulate the following contestants:
- Manuel Jimenez Lopez from Spain who won the "Prestige Award" for his highest technical score in the whole competition
- The Polish team, who won the “Best team“ Award
- Bruno Vazan from Switzerland for the DNA cup for the best cocktail name attribution
- Kenji Tsubokura, winner of 3 medals as the best Short Drink, the Art Deco Trophy for his cocktail garnish and the prestigious price of the Cocktail of the Year !
