Origin
Originally created for children to celebrate Saint Nicholas’ day in December, the traditional Speculoos recipe has evolved into more “contemporary” variants which may include new ingredients such as cranberry, chocolate or almonds, making it a sophisticated and indulgent treat to be enjoyed all year long. This common biscuit, usually found in the Netherlands, Germany and Northem France, is a subtle mix of spices such as cinnamon, white pepper, ginger, cardamom and nutmeg. MONIN Speculoos syrup has the perfect biscuit taste that will add a sweet and gourmet touch to your cocktails, coffees and favourite pastries.
