The Black Witch
20 ml MONIN Black Forest syrup
10 ml MONIN Lemon Rantcho
40 ml cherry juice
40 ml cranberry juice
1 vegetal charcoal capsule
Top with ginger beer
In a shaker filled with ice cubes, pour MONIN flavourings, juices, and the content of the vegetal charcoal capsule. Shake vigorously. Strain into a nice balloon glass filled with ice cubes. Top with ginger beer. Stir gently.
Garnish with a liquorice stick and red berries and blackberries placed on a skewer.
For an even more eerie effect you can add a stick of carbonic dry ice (be careful not to ingest it, it could cause severe damages).
The vegetal charcoal won’t give any particular taste but will give a very dark colour to your drink!
The Warlock's Punch
For 10 to 12 servings
120 ml MONIN Pumpkin Spice syrup
180 ml MONIN Blood Orange syrup
180 ml MONIN Bitter concentrate
600 ml spiced dark rum
180 ml maraschino liqueur
240 ml lime juice
1000 ml orange Juice
Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl. Stir well. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Stir again. Add ice. Serve in cups or glasses with ice.
Garnish with dried orange wheels, chili peppers, cinnamon and star anise.
To give a scary touch to your punch, add unusual garnishes :
- Fake bloody eyes: use canned lychees, syrup and red grapes. Add a very small amount of MONIN Grenadine syrup over it to fake blood! This will be terrific in your guests glasses!
- Hand shape ice cube: Use a latex glove. Rinse the glove to remove the talc inside. Fill with water and close it. Store in the freezer. When it is well frozen, unmold your hand ice cube and add it into your punch!
- Play with carbonic dry ice to add more mystery to your drink (be careful not to ingest it, it could cause severe damages).
Customize your Halloween buffet !
You can fill small jars with colourful MONIN syrup and water. Label it with creepy potions names like Snake blood or Undead Elixir. Add carbonic dry ice sticks in it to make it bubbly and smoky!
Dead leaves, spider web, skull shape glasses, pumpkins, wood pieces, skeletons and many more will assure a real gloomy atmosphere to your buffet!
